Suggested Ages: 6 to 14+

Puppets and live actors create a magical world to tell the story of Simba’s rise to the throne in this worldwide sensation and winner of six Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Direction and Best Costume by Julie Taymor. Based on the beloved 1994 movie, but very much a new re-imagining based on South African tradisions with new songs, gorgeous African-inspired dancing, spectacular larger-than-life puppets and ingenious special effects.

⏱ 2 hours and 30 minutes with one intermission.

💥 The dark and scary parts of the story (Simba’s father, Mufasa, dies, and Simba is unfairly accused) can be too much for sensitive kids. The violence is not graphic but very vividly rendered.
