Puppies Puppies: Nothing New
November 10, 2023, 11:00 am –March 3, 2024, 6:00 pm
Suggested Ages: All, Adult Friendly
The artist Jade Guanaro Kuriki-Olivio (aka Puppies Puppies) has transformed the Museum’s Lobby Gallery into a mise-en-scène for her daily activities.
Watch her enter through a traditional Japanese torii gate, pass by a rock garden inspired by Ryōan-ji (the Temple of the Dragon at Peace) in Kyoto, Japan, and arrive at the central vignette, a duplicate of her bedroom. Cameras will also film the artist as she navigates between the Museum, her apartment—located seven blocks away—and day-to-day life in the city.
Tue-Sun 11 am–6 pm Thu 11 am–9 pm (Pay-what-you-wish 7–9 pm)
