Take a rollicking romp through Elizabethan England, set within the majestic groves of Sterling Forest. Travel back in time to an age of adventure.Join Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth I on a grand visit to a beautiful 16th century English village. Meet Robin Hood and his Merry Band. See amazing acrobats, magical fairies, dancing cats, swashbuckling pirates, silly sword fights, Shakespearean actors, roaming musicians and more in hundreds of street and stage performances. Play games of skill or chance.

Shop a marketplace, featuring over 100 artisans. Enjoy interactive living history exhibits, craft demonstrations, and activities for children. Cheer on knights at the Joust Tournament ( 12 pm, 2:30 pm & 5 pm). Covered VIP seating available for $20; includes a pickle and a non-alcoholic beverage.

For an extra $5, ages 4–12 can learn sword combat from the greatest fighters in the realm (with foam swords), and test skills against trained mercenaries in Boffer Wars, then continue a quest for adventure through the Shire. Or join an interactive fantasy adventure and help the Faerie Folk discover the magic in their home, the Enchanted Forest. Sessions for both happen throughout the day; sign up at the big yellow tent in the Enchanted Forest.

Be prepared for poor cell service; print your tickets or save the image to your phone in advance.

.🍽 Gnaw on giant turkey legs and pickles or choose from a range of food and drink – chicken nuggets, quesadillas, burgers, pizza, falafel, doughnuts, watermelon slices and more – throughout the park including vegan, vegetarian and gluten-free options.

🚙 About 1 hour from mid-Manhattan without traffic. Congestion on the local roadways and lines into the parking areas can be quite long so come early; parking lots open at 7:30 am. Don’t listen to your GPS; Benjamin Meadow Road is closed during the Faire day. Stay on 17/17A to enter the Faire.

📕 Dive deep into the tales, art and inventions of the era in the beautifully -illustrated, kid-friendly Shakespeare’s Stories and National Geographic’s Leonardo da Vinci: The Genius Who Defined the Renaissance.

📕 Get the back story of the Faire workers (and their 11-year-olds) in graphic novel All’s Faire in Middle School by Newbery Honor-winning author Victoria Jamieson.
