This new heart-filled Broadway musical based on the award-winning HBO documentary explores the need to connect and the courage it takes to step out into the world. Set in a group counseling center in Columbus, Ohio, seven autistic young adults—all played by autistic actors in a historic first for Broadway—prepare for a spring formal dance, a rite of passage that breaks open their routines and sets off hilarious and heartbreaking encounters with love, stress, excitement and independence.

Lots of thought has been put into making this production accessible to all, including sensory nooks in the lobbies, trained staff and tons of info on the show’s website (including excellent FAQs/resources about autism).

⏱ 2 hours 20 minutes with one intermission

❤️Some family-friendly romance & drama, the plethora of characters; may be confusing for younger kids
