Pier 62 Carousel
April 5, 11:00 am –October 28, 8:00 pm
Suggested Ages: All
Take a spin on 33 hand-carved, custom-designed Hudson River Valley animals – raccoons, seahorses, bears & more. The carousel structure has a green roof and opens to a sprawling lawn and tree-lined pathways.
Guests must be at least 42” to ride alone. If a child is under 42”, the child must have a ticket but the accompanying adult rides for free.
Take a walk along the pier to the west of the carousel to find a nautical wooden deck offering views of the Hudson River. Or walk along Pier 63’s esplanade, up the incline hill to the end of Pier 64 and get a beautiful vantage all the way down the Hudson; catch a glimpse of Lady Liberty and the Verrazano Bridge.
Also find a colorful garden filled oasis and a “California-style” Skatepark that uses structural foam to create shapes typically sculpted in nature (free and open to all levels of skateboarders and rollerbladers). Grab food to picnic on the lawn or dine at an outdoor table with a riverfront view at the Frying Pan.
